The year 2025 unfolded in an increasingly fragile humanitarian landscape for refugees in Uganda. As global aid contracted and essential assistance declined, thousands of refugee families faced rising hunger, school dropouts, and heightened protection risks. Women and children—who make up the vast majority of the refugee population—were particularly affected by poverty, violence, and limited access to education and psychosocial support.
Despite these challenges, Light For All remained committed to protecting dignity and restoring hope. Through education support, leadership training for refugee women, youth empowerment initiatives, psychosocial assistance, and human rights documentation, our programs continued to stand with refugee communities when support was most urgently needed. This report highlights the impact achieved in 2025 and the collective effort of partners and supporters who help ensure that displacement does not extinguish the right to learn, heal, and build a future.
